Με αφορμή τη μεγαλειώδη κινητοποίηση αλληλεγγύης στον Παλαιστινιακό λαό των φοιτητικών συλλόγων των πανεπιστημίων της Αθήνας στα Προπύλαια και την άγρια καταστολή που την ακολούθησε από δυνάμεις των ΜΑΤ στην κατάληψη της Νομικής Σχολή το πρωί της Τρίτης 14/5, το Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στο Εθνικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης ενώνει τη φωνή του με τα κινήματα αλληλεγγύης σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο που ζητούν την άμεση κατάπαυση του πυρός και το τέλος της φρικαλεότητας που συντελείται εναντίον του Παλαιστινιακού λαού.

Το Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στο Εθνικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης ζητάει από την Καλλιτεχνική Διευθύντρια και τη Διοίκηση του Μουσείου εν συνόλω να προβεί σε συμβολική πράξη διαμαρτυρίας κατά της γενοκτονίας των Παλαιστινίων παρουσιάζοντας διαρκώς και ανεξαρτήτως του τρέχοντος καλλιτεχνικού προγραμματισμού του ΕΜΣΤ τα έργα σημαντικών Παλαιστινίων καλλιτεχνών, με εμβληματικότερο αυτό της Έμιλι Ζασίρ “Εις Μνήμην των 418 Παλαιστινιακών Χωριών τα οποία Καταστράφηκαν, Ερημώθηκαν και Κατακτήθηκαν από το Ισραήλ το 1948” που έχει στη συλλογή του μέχρις ότου λάβει τέλος η Γενοκτονία των Παλαιστινίων.

Το Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στο Εθνικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης καλεί την Ελληνική Κυβέρνηση να αποσύρει τη στήριξή της στο κράτος-τρομοκράτη του Ισραήλ καθώς και να σταματήσει η εμπλοκή της Ελλάδας στον πόλεμο. Να γυρίσει πίσω η Φρεγάτα Ύδρα.

Το Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στο ΕΜΣΤ υψώνει τη φωνή του συμμετέχοντας σε αυτό το πρωτοφανές κύμα αλληλεγγύης σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο. Πολίτες, φοιτητές, ακτιβιστές, καλλιτέχνες, διανοούμενοι δίνουν το ηχηρό τους παρόν στον αγώνα υπέρ του άγρια δοκιμαζόμενου Παλαιστινιακού λαού.

· Να αναγνωριστεί ανεξάρτητο Παλαιστινιακό κράτος.

On the occasion of the great mobilization in solidarity to the Palestinian people by student associations of the Universities of Athens at the Propylaea, and the brutal repression that followed by riot police forces during the occupation of the Law School on Tuesday morning the 14^th of May, the Labour Union of the EMΣT | National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens joins the solidarity movements globally that demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to the atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people.

The Labour Union of the EMΣT | National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens demands from the Artistic Director and the Museum's Administration, to proceed to a symbolic act of protest against the genocide of the Palestinians, by presenting the works of important Palestinian artists on a continuous basis and independently of the current artistic programme of the Museum, the most emblematic being Emily Zacir's Memorial to 418 Palestinian Villages which were Destroyed, Depopulated and Occupied by Israel in 1948 from its collection, until the Palestinian Genocide is over.
